Cefuroxime 1.5gm powder for injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic/anti-infective medicine which is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, single used to treat bacterial infections in your body.
It is effective in infections of the lungs(e.g. pneumonia), ear, throat, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, bones, and joints. It is also used to prevent infections during surgery.

Cefuroxime Injection is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

• Bone and Joint Infections
• Skin and Skin-Structure Infections
• Urinary Tract Infections
• Soft-tissue infections: cellulitis, erysipelas and wound infections
• Intra-abdominal infections
• Meningitis
• Gonorrhea
• Septicemia

Cefuroxime Injection improves the patient’s condition by performing the following functions:

• This medicine belongs to a class of cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Cefuroxime is a bactericidal agent that acts by inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cefuroxime has activity in the presence of certain beta-lactamases, both penicillinase and cephalosporins, Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
